With Waltham’s fall weather bringing cooler air and higher humidity, now’s the time to check your ducts, but not all ‘licensed’ air duct cleaning companies are created equal. Here’s what to verify before hiring, and how Wilson Air Duct Cleaning Co meets the bar for your home’s safety and warranty protection. Book a visit or ask a question to confirm our credentials for your Waltham property.
Why ‘Licensed’ Isn’t Enough: Waltham’s Hidden Risks
In Waltham, where older homes with cast-iron ductwork or post-renovation setups are common, a ‘license’ alone doesn’t guarantee proper training or equipment. Massachusetts requires air duct cleaners to hold a Class B license for HVAC work, but some companies cut corners by subcontracting unlicensed crews. At Wilson Air Duct Cleaning Co, our team holds active Class B licenses and NADCA certification, which means we’re inspected annually for compliance with Waltham’s building codes. See our crew and certifications to verify before booking. Also ask: Does the company carry liability insurance? Uninsured cleaners leave you liable for damage to your ducts or HVAC system. We carry $1M in general liability and workers’ comp, so your warranty stays intact. Learn more about our service areas to see if we cover your Waltham neighborhood.
Waltham’s Most Overlooked Dryer Vent Warning Signs: And How We Spot Them Before They Become Problems
Local homeowners often report two major issues after hiring unqualified duct cleaners: 1) Poor sealing of registers, which forces your HVAC to work harder (and spikes utility bills), and 2) missed mold or debris in side branches, which spreads when the system runs. To prevent these, we use HEPA-vacuumed trucks and NADCA-approved tools, not just shop vacs, to ensure 99% debris removal. Check our pricing guide to compare what’s included in a full Waltham duct cleaning versus a ‘quick’ service that skips critical steps. Pro tip: If a company won’t show you their before/after inspection photos, walk away. We provide digital reports for every job in Waltham, Lexington, and surrounding towns.
